How to Play Oklahoma Powerball
Playing OK Powerball is incredibly simple and inexpensive. You effectively only need to choose your numbers, buy the ticket, wait for the drawing, and check if you’ve won. Here’s the whole process in a little more detail:
- Buy an OK Powerball ticket by visiting one of the official retailer locations near you and asking for an OK Powerball payslip.
- The slip contains five plays. To play one, pick five numbers from the field with 69 numbers. Just mark the numbers you want or the Quick Play (QP) box to let the computer choose the numbers for you.
- Move to the field below with 26 Powerball numbers and choose one. Once again, you can let the system do it by ticking the QP box.
- To become eligible for higher wins, you can tick the box for the Power Play. This multiplies your original prize two, three, four, five, or ten times and you are charged an additional $1 for every play.
- If you want to play more draws without buying tickets later on, you can choose the Advance Action option. Just mark the number of draws you wish to participate in. You can select 2, 4, 8, 10, 20, or 26 draws.
- If you make a mistake, mark the void box to cancel that play from the ticket.
- Once you’re settled with your selections, you can finally print out the ticket and floor the draw.
Each ticket has fields for five separate plays, so you can always repeat the same process with an additional field area if you want to play more combinations per draw.
Remember that you can purchase a ticket for a specific draw by 8:59pm on the day of the draw.
Powerball Drawing Schedule
The draws take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Every time you want to participate, you’ll have to buy the ticket by 8:59 p.m, or in other words, an hour before the draw takes place at the latest.
You can check your numbers and see if you’ve won:
- On the official Oklahoma Lottery website
- Through the official Oklahoma Lottery app, downloadable from the App Store or Play Store
- At your local Oklahoma Lottery Retailer
Payouts, Odds, and Rules
The rules in Powerball are always simple. All you need to do is choose five white-ball numbers ranging from 1 to 69 and a single Powerball number in a range from 1 to 26. If you guess all six correctly, you win the jackpot. If you guess less, you get a specific prize that depends on the combination. Here’s a table for easier understanding:
Numbers Matched | Prize | Power Play 2x | Power Play 3x | Power Play 4x | Power Play 5x | Power Play 10x | Odds |
5 White Balls + Powerball | Jackpot | Jackpot | Jackpot | Jackpot | Jackpot | Jackpot | 1:292,201,338.00 |
5 White Balls | $1 million | $2 million | $2 million | $2 million | $2 million | $2 million | 1:11,688,053.52 |
