The Michigan Lottery has multiple versions of Keno available. Two of the most popular ones are Club Keno, and another game simply called Keno.
However, the two games have very different mechanics. This page will tackle both.
Club Keno Rules and Strategy
How to Play Club Keno Michigan?
If you’re familiar with Keno, then you should feel right at home with Michigan Lottery’s Club Keno. You can play anywhere from 1 to 10 numbers, called spots, giving you more control over your odds of winning.
 Set your wager. You can bet $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, or $20 per draw.
 Mark how many consecutive drawings you want to play, up to a maximum of 60.
 Pick between 1 and 10 numbers (spots) from 1 to 80, or use the Easy Pick option.
 Wait for the drawing where 20 numbers are randomly drawn to see if you’ve won. You can also watch the drawings live.
The minimum cost of a Club Keno ticket is $1.
Michigan Club Keno Drawing Time
Drawings for Club Keno take daily, every four minutes, from 6:00 AM to 1:59 AM EST.
Club Keno Extra
You can enable Extra on Club Keno for double the cost of your wager.
Every drawing, a second set of 10 Extra numbers are drawn. These Extra numbers have their own payouts.
The maximum prize for winning Extra wager in a single drawing is $10 million. Prizes for winning the main Club Keno game and Extra cannot be combined.
Club Keno Kicker
Enabling the Kicker will double the cost of your wager. Doing so will multiply your winnings by up to 10 times!
Each draw, a Kicker number is chosen randomly between 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10. Any prize amounts you win with the Kicker enabled will be multiplied by the Kicker number.
Note that the maximum for Kicker is $20 million per drawing. The Kicker does not apply to Extra and the Jack prizes.
Club Keno The Jack
For an additional $1, 8 more numbers (spots) are automatically selected for you and printed on your ticket. The Jack has a separate prize table and its own progressive jackpot which starts at $10,000.

Michigan Club Keno Strategy
Keno is a game of luck, no matter how you look at it. In that sense, there aren’t any real viable strategies you can use. Just take the game for what is – something fun and potentially rewarding, not some kind of investment that you can make a plan for.
However, since it is a game of luck, one thing you can do is to play games with better overall odds of winning.
For example, a 7spot game of regular Club Keno will cost $1. You’d have about 24% overall chance to win a prize between $1 and $2,000. (about 1 in 5 chances to win the $1 prize; and 1 in 40,000 to win the $2,000 prize). That’s better than most, at least.
Club Keno vs Keno
Interestingly, the Michigan Lottery offers a similar game that’s simply called Keno.
It’s actually more similar to traditional lottery games, wherein players must pick 10 numbers from 1 to 80, and match them all to snatch the top prize of $250,000
Keno Rules
To play Keno, just pick 10 numbers from 1 to 80 or use the Easy Pick option. You can play the same numbers for the next 60 consecutive draws.
Keno costs $1 per play and is only available instore through authorized retailers.
Keno Drawing Time
Keno has daily drawings every 7:29 PM EST.
Ticket sales for the current draw are available until 7:08 PM. Ticket sales resume at 7:10 PM and will count towards the succeeding draw.
