Match 6 is one of the Pennsylvania Lottery’s biggest games. To play, you only need to pick 6 numbers between 1 and 49. For every $2 ticket you buy, though, you’ll get 3 plays in total: one where you can pick your own numbers or play Quick Pick, then 2 more plays with assigned Quick Pick numbers.

To hit the jackpot, one of your plays must match all 6 numbers drawn. You can also get additional prizes when you get matching numbers from the other plays on your ticket.

Match 6 Drawing Schedule

Match 6 draws are held every day at 6:59 PM Eastern Time. You have until 6:57 PM that same day to buy eligible tickets. The Pennsylvania Match 6 and Pennsylvania Lottery Pick 4 drawings are typically held twice daily, with the exact drawing schedule varying depending on the day of the week and the specific game play option selected.

Match 6 Lotto Payout

The Match 6’s starting jackpot of $500,000 grows for every draw without a jackpot winner. Unlike many big state lottery games, Pennsylvania’s Match 6 awards fixed amounts for each prize tier (instead of adjusting these depending on ticket sales).

You can also win prizes through Combined Play: Each ticket carries 3 plays, and if you get a certain number of matches from all 3 plays combined, you’re entitled to additional prizes.

Also unlike other state lotteries, the Pennsylvania Match 6 only awards prizes as one-time, lump-sum payments — even the jackpot!
