How to Play UK 49s

Pick Your Numbers

You can use Quick Pick, also known as Lucky Dip, and the computer will select your numbers for you, or choose your own numbers from 1 to 49. You can choose to play 1 to 5 numbers.

You can buy UK 49s tickets from authorized retailers as well as partner sites. The cost of each ticket depends on how much you want to wager.

Drawing Time and Schedule

UK 49's is a twice-daily game. The first drawing is at lunchtime, and takes place at approximately 12:49 PM BST. The second draw is held at teatime, at approximately 4:49 PM or 5:49 PM BST, depending on the month of the year.

Payouts, Odds, and Rules

Here's how to play UK 49s:

First, you have to select how many numbers you want to play. You can choose up to five numbers from 1 to 49. Then choose to play a 6 or 7 number game. Finally, you can set your amount wagered.

During the draw, 6 main numbers are randomly chosen, with the addition of a seventh ball called the Booster. If you chose to play a 6 number game, you can only use the first 5 main numbers to make a match. If you choose a 7 number game, you can use the Booster number to match and thus increase your chances to win.

Your chances to win and potential payout differ according to your choices. Obviously, you have better chances if you pick to participate in a 7 number game as it gives you an additional ball that you can potentially match.
